The Tidewater Coin Club (TCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the numismatic needs of collectors in the Tidewater Virginia area and to education regarding the history of coinage. The Club was established in February 1956 and has met continuously since then. At present, the club has over 150 members. Regular club meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM at the Norfolk VFW Lodge on Bartee Street in the Military Circle area. TCC Board meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 7:30PM. January is the annual membership renewal month.
Each meeting features a program on the history and collecting of coins and paper currency. Recent program topics have been the History of the New Orleans Mint, Collecting Foreign Coins, Collecting Ancient Coins, Silver Dollars, the Lincoln Cent, Collecting with Kids & Family, the Twenty-cent piece, Cypriot Coins, the Twelve Caesars, and WWII Ration Stamps. Numismatic exhibits, door prizes, raffles, and refreshments are also part of the meeting.

The LCFCC currently meets monthly, except July and August, on second Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Leutze Hall Room 111 on the campus of the University of North Carolina @ Wilmington. Enter UNCW at Randall Drive, proceed to Water Tower. Turn right, enter the parking lot on the right. Leutze Hall is the building to the left of the archway. Visitors are always welcome.
Meetings feature numismatic programs involving aspects of collecting, dealing, travel, literature or history. We welcome speakers from the membership, academia, and other organizations.
