American Numismatic Society

The American Numismatic Society is an organization dedicated to the study of coins, currency, medals, tokens, and related objects from all cultures, past and present. The Society’s headquarters in New York City has the foremost research collection and library specialized in numismatics in the United States. These resources are used to support research and education in numismatics, for the benefit of academic specialists, serious collectors, professional numismatists, and the interested public. .

Chief John Ross Numismatic Society

The Chief John Ross Numismatic Society is a North Georgia coin club that was formed during the Silver boom in 1967. It is named after John Ross, Principal Chief of the Cherokee from 1828 until his death in 1866. Chief John Ross was only one eighth Cherokee but was well respected by the Cherokee and the white man.

Members specialize in collecting many different areas from the state quarters, 20th century Indian Cents to silver dollars, large and small size US currency, Civil War currency, foreign coins, ancient coins. Get any question answered from what is it worth, is it genuine, why was it issued.

Mount Vernon Numismatic Society

Established in 1954, the Mount Vernon Numismatic Society is a local coin club serving Mt Vernon, Ohio and the surrounding counties.  The Society’s goal is to encourage and promote interest in numismatics; to create and cultivate friendly relations between coin collectors and dealers; to especially encourage and assist amateur collectors. It provides a time and place for personal contact, education, trading; and for buying and selling coins.  This Society is non-profit making.
