More treasure items plucked from the bones of a once proud Spanish galleon are coming on the auction block courtesy of Daniel Sedwick.
Daniel Frank Sedwick, LLC proudly announces their Treasure, World and U.S. Coin Auction #15, taking place live on the Internet in four sessions, May 1-2, 2014. The total pre-auction low estimate for 1613 lots exceeds $1.2 million.
Cobs and shipwreck coins dominate, as usual, but Round presentation pieces known as “Royals” from the mint of Lima, Peru, are prominent in this auction as well, with two 8 reales and one 4 reales—all very rare. The most eye-catching items in the auction, however, are the shipwreck artifact trophies, commanded by a 5-carat (t.w.) diamond ring from the 1715 Fleet
