Heritage Auctions New Buyer’s Premium Beginning Aug. 1, 2012

DALLAS – Heritage Auctions (HA.com) will change its Buyer’s Premium (BP) to 17.5% for numismatic auctions effective Aug. 1, 2012 for winning bidders in its Signature®, Platinum Night, HERITAGE Live!TM and weekly and monthly Internet-only auctions. The BP for Gallery auctions will remain unchanged.

“The new rate is competitive in the marketplace, and remains one of the lowest Buyer’s Premiums of all major collectibles,” said Jim Halperin, Co-Chairman of Heritage Auctions. “In addition, we offer bidders more numismatic material each year than our top four competitors combined through unparalleled platforms for online and in-person examination of coins and currency, with unmatched ease of online bidding and tracking, as well as free research, evaluation and collection management features.”

Founded in 1976, Heritage Auctions has grown to become the world’s largest collectibles auction house. The company has more than 50 on-staff numismatic professionals with over 1,500 combined years of numismatic experience who are involved in extensive research, award-winning cataloging and sales of coins and paper money.

Heritage’s numismatic catalogs and its Intelligent Collector magazine have won more than four dozen prestigious awards from the Numismatic Literary Guild.

Specific information about the Buyer’s Premium can be found in the Terms of Sale for each auction.
