Another landmark coin has been sold by Heritage Auctions. The 1792 cent is an experimental issue that had a small plug of silver in the middle of the coin. It is considered the first coin struck inside the Philadelphia Mint. This coin is graded MS61 by PCGS.

Final hammer price for the coin was one million dollars with a 15% buyer premium added to make a total of $1,150,000. See the room and hear the excitement as this historic coin sells to an internet bidder.
