German Coins & Medals Highlight Künker Auctions

By Künker GmbH ……
Dear Bidders and Coin Enthusiasts,

As always, German coins and medals make up a large portion of our auctioned pieces. Once again, we’re able to offer a wide range of collections featuring German coins.

First of all, there’s a collection of selected bracteates from the High Middle Ages, featuring great rarities. Saxony will be represented with an abundance of rare coins and medals. There will be also another part of the Eberhard Link collection, featuring coins and medals from cities located along the Rhine. Of course, we must point out a particular highlight of this collection: an extensive series of coins and medals of the Counts of Salm – not to be confused with the coins and medals of the county of Solms, of which Günter Westphal has compiled a large collection. As a former sailor, Mr. Westphal is an avid “numisnautist”, that is, a collector that focuses on maritime-themed coins. so you’ll find a variety of ship motifs among the auctioned pieces.

Of course, our Summer Auctions will also feature a broad range of coins from the German Empire, the Weimar Republic, and beyond. And not forgetting the coins and medals from Habsburg – although of course, strictly speaking, they’re more Austrian.

Many regards from Osnabrück,

Your Künker Team
