After the French Revolution in 1789 the army of France went to the Netherlands where they issued a series of paper money.

Nico Verhoef is a devoted collector, educator and author who writes about this unusual time in Dutch bank note history.

Since its inception in 1977, the International Paper Money Show is known only as “Memphis” to the fraternity of collectors and dealers that cherishes this time-honored tradition as the granddaddy of our hobby.
