The Perth Mint September 2011 Releases

The Perth Mint is excited to release a vast selection of stunning new product releases for September.

The Perth Mint’s internationally renowned Australian Lunar Gold Proof Coin Series II and Australian Lunar Silver Proof Coin Series II are showcased this month, celebrating the auspicious 2012 Year of the Dragon, the fifth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.

There is certainly something special about the fourth annual Young Collectors coin set. Fabulous creatures from the mythical world have been recreated by our talented designers. The Young Collector’s Mythical Creatures set comprises nine $1 coins portraying mythical creatures, with a limited mintage of only 4,000 sets being released worldwide.

The second release in the Sea Life II – The Reef series is a stunning coin that features a starfish. The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present the third release in the adorable Australian Bush Babies Stamp and Coin series, featuring the iconic Australian bilby. The official Australia Post 60 cent stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope is endorsed with Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official number.

These and other exciting new products make September another great month of releases from The Perth Mint.
