Coin Collecting or Investing? with David Hall and John Ford in 1989
By CoinWeek on March 2, 2012 1:57 PM
In 1986 David Hall created PCGS that changed the way coins traded. He championed the concept of coin grading and the resultant rise in values for many issues.
John Ford, legendary collector, numismatist and auction researcher, argued against third party grading. He believed that coins should not be used for investment.
Enjoy this classic video footage from the ANA Convention in 1989, of two of the most famous people in numismatics challenging one another about grading and investing in the rare coin market.
