U.S. Mint to Unveil Nancy, Ronald Reagan Coin Designs

Representatives from the United States Mint and the Ronald Reagan Foundation will unveil the designs for the Ronald Reagan Presidential $1 Coin and the Nancy Reagan First Spouse Coin during President Reagan’s Birthday Celebration at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

WHAT:

Representatives from the United States Mint and the Ronald Reagan Foundation will unveil the designs for the Ronald Reagan Presidential $1 Coin and the Nancy Reagan First Spouse Coin during President Reagan’s Birthday Celebration at the Reagan Presidential Library. These will be the last coins produced in both the Presidential $1 Coin and First Spouse Gold Coin programs.

In addition to the coin design unveiling with remarks from Richard Peterson, United States Mint Deputy Director of Manufacturing and Quality, the ceremony includes a 21-gun salute, the placing of an official White House wreath on President Reagan’s gravesite, and keynote remarks by The Honorable Marlin Fitzwater, President Reagan’s press secretary. The event is free and open to the public.
