Chris McCawley of McCawley-Grellman Auctions had on display at the EAC Convention a recently discovered rare variety 1808 half cent.
This rare coin surfaced in a collection purchased by another dealer who had the coin attributed and then sold to McCawley.
This is a great example of rare coin varieties waiting to be discovered.
