Perth Mint Unveils Two-Coin 2015 Year of the Goat Silver Coin Set

lunargoodfortuneCelebrating the Year of the Goat and the ideal of good fortune, this stunning 1oz silver proof two-coin set is released to encourage wealth and wisdom. Each coin is a prestigious and exceptionally limited offering from The Perth Mint.

The birth dates for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar goat include 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 and 2015. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be elegant, charming, artistic, gifted and calm.

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, both of these coins are struck from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the 2015 Year of the Goat – Wealth and Wisdom 1oz Silver Proof Two-Coin Set.

The wealth coin’s reverse depicts a representation of a goat standing on a statue against a background of gold coins, signifying wealth and prosperity. The inscriptions WEALTH and 2015 YEAR OF THE GOAT also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The inscriptions WISDOM and 2015 YEAR OF THE GOAT also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date are shown on each coin’s obverse.
